Phyllis Mathis Grier

Phyllis Mathis Grier was reared in the African Methodist Episcopal church whereby she accepted the Lord Savior at a early age.  In 1977 in Tampa, Florida, she began traveling with The Abe Brown Crusade into Florida prisons; ministering the Gospel. In 2002, Phyllis began Daughters of Hagar Transitional Housing.  In 2013, Phyllis established The Global Ministry of Hope, Inc.; whose primary function is to be the Gospel between the government and the people. Phyllis was licensed as a Missionary by  Bishop David and Dr. Claudette Copeland; New Creation Christian Fellowship in San Antonio, Texas; licensed as a Minister under Bishop Russell A. Wright, Sr.; Providence Full Gospel in Panama City, Florida; and ordained as a Elder by Bishop J.W. Wade, II; Pentecostal Worship Center in  Panama City, Florida; under Pentecostal Churches of Christ, in Cleveland, Ohio; where Bishop J. Delano Ellis is the Presiding Bishop. In May 2016, under the guidance of Pastor Billy J. Davis;  Shekinah Glory Kingdom Ministries; in Panama City, Florida, Phyllis accepted the Pastoral call and began Goshen Evangelistic Ministries as Senior Pastor. Pastor Phyllis united with Global Empowerment Fellowship of Christian Churches under the Leadership of Presiding Bishop Carl W. Weeden, II.  On March 23,2023 Pastor Phyllis was elevated as Overseer Designate to The Southern United Regional of Global Empowerment Fellowship of Christian Churches (SURGE) where  Bishop Ja'Meen Oliver, Sr is the Regional Bishop. Pastor Phyllis attended Gulf Coast Community College, Hillsborough Community and University of South Florida.  She is married to Pastor Walter Grier where they share six children and seven grandchildren.
